2. Dedicated Daoyin Yangsheng Regimens:
Embracing over 30 routines, the system consists of standing and sitting exercises created for the prevention and treatment of diseases in different organs and systems of the human body. This series of exercises is specifically targeted, simple and easy to learn. They both emphasize meridian guidance and have the features of aerobic exercise. They not only bear distinct hallmarks of the times, but are also suitable for middle-aged and elderly people, as well as, patients with “modern civilization” diseases - by way of preventing and treating various metabolic diseases and intractable diseases. The regimens range from Shuxin Pingxue Gong (heart-soothing and blood-appeasing Gong" for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and coronary heart disease, Yiqi Yangfei Gong (Qi-invigorating and lung-nourishing Gong) for preventing and treating respiratory diseases such as colds, pneumonia and tuberculosis, Hewei Jianpi Gong (stomach-harmonizing and spleen-invigorating Gong) for preventing and treating digestive diseases such as indigestion, gastric ulcer and chronic hepatitis, Shujin Zhuanggu Gong (muscle-relaxing and bone-strengthening Gong) for preventing and treating musculoskeletal diseases such as neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain. In addition, Yuzhen Buyuan Gong (prenatal Qi-nourishing and prime-reinforcing Gong) is for preventing and treating reproductive and urinary diseases and symptoms such as impotence, premature ejaculation, thirst, edema, menoxenia, soreness of the waist and knees.
Yisijiu Jingluo Donggong (149 Meridian Exercise Gong) is for preventing and rehabilitating from intractable diseases such as tumors and cancers. Daoyin Baojian Gong (Daoyin and fitness Gong) is designed for the overall strengthening of the body and improvement of the cardiopulmonary function.
Then, there is Jiujiu Huantong Gong (99 rejuvenation Gong) with a remarkable anti-aging effect.
The list goes on.
3. Daoyin Routines with Yangsheng Apparatus:
These Daoyin regimens are created in combination with the use of apparatus. This series of practice routines is novel in form, ingenious in conception, elegant and extended in style. They are suitable for practitioners seeking leisure, entertainment, physical fitness and temperament cultivation. They involve the use of the longevity pad, the Daoyin ball, the Yangsheng sword (with long or short tussle), the Yangsheng Taiji broad sword, the Yangsheng rope, among others.
4. Yangsheng Tai Chiji Palm:
This series of Taiji health preservation routines was created by organically bringing together Daoyin techniques and Taiji Chuan with the focus on wellness of the five internal organs. The series focuses on specific symptoms. The movements are elegant, coherent, circular and even, embedding softness in hardness. On the one hand, it contains the Taiji emphasis on the deficiency-solidity balance between yin and yang, attention to attack and defense, use of the waist as the axis and force going out in all directions. On the other hand, it also embraces the essence of “guiding qi to stretch the body” as found in Daoyin. This makes it suitable for the Daoyin and Taiji afficionados to have targeted practice for fitness, disease prevention and treatment, relaxation and entertainment. The series comprises of: Qiangxin Yifei Taiji Zhang (heart-strengthening and lung-nurturing Taiji Palm, aka Taiji Zhang I or Taiji Palm I), Zishen Bupi Taiji Zhang (kidney-nurturing and spleen-tonifying Taiji Palm, aka Taiji Zhang II or Taiji Palm II) and Shugan Lidan Taiji Zhang (liver-clearing and Ggallbladder-benifiting Palm, aka Taiji Zhang III or Taiji Palm III).
5. Simplified Daoyin Yangsheng Routines:
These routines have been simplified from the dedicated Daoyin Yangsheng regimens. The underlying principles and forms are identical to those for the original routines except that the difficulty and intensity of the movements have been reduced by a large margin. The purpose is to reduce the difficulty of learning and practice to make them suitable for the sick, the weak and the elderly to practice so that they can engage in lifelong exercise.
There are over a dozen simplified routines, including Shuxin Pingxue Gong (heart-soothing and blood-appeasing Gong II), Yiqi Yangfei Gong (Qi-invigorating and lung-nurtuing Gong II) and Shujin Zhuanggu Gong (muscle-relaxing and bone-strengthening Gong II).
6. Five-minute exercise prescriptions:
These are 5-minute self-guided Daoyin exercise methods that have been systematically sorted and distilled, based on the three-level prevention model to prevent and treat common and frequently-occurring diseases. The prescriptions have the distinct feature of being simple and convenient while embodying a lot of Yangsheng and medical knowledge. This enables people living in today's high-paced world to derive fitness and health maintenance effects from easy access to the simple exercises.
There are dozens of such descriptions, such as, 5-minute prevention and adjuvant therapy for hypertension, 5-minute prevention and adjuvant therapy for irregular menstruation, 5-minute prevention and adjuvant therapy for sciatica, 5-minute prevention and adjuvant therapy for male sexual malfunction, et cetera, et cetera.
